Small Text Generator — Tiny, Superscript & Small Caps Fonts

Convert any text into small text styles: superscript, small caps, tiny letters and subscript where Unicode provides them. Copy a style and paste it into bios, captions and nicknames.

Four small Unicode styles, updated live as you type. Subscript note: Unicode has no subscript form for b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y or z, so those letters stay normal size in the subscript style. Click any Copy button, then paste the style anywhere.

Small text is not a tiny font — it is a set of special Unicode characters that happen to be small: superscript letters, small capitals and miniature letterforms originally made for phonetics and math. This converter maps your text into four small styles at once — superscript, small caps, tiny and subscript where Unicode provides the letter — so you can compare and copy the one that fits.

How to Use This Tool

1. Type your word or short line

Enter the text you want to shrink; short phrases, names and bio lines convert most cleanly because small styles are hard to read at paragraph length.

2. Compare the four small styles

Superscript floats your text up high, small caps keeps it on the baseline, tiny is the smallest of all, and subscript drops it below the line where letters exist.

3. Copy and paste it anywhere

Click Copy beside your favourite style and paste it into a bio, nickname, caption or comment — it is plain text, so it works almost everywhere.

Tips for a Better Stylish Name

  • Subscript has no Unicode letters for b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y or z, so those letters stay normal size in subscript style — that is a Unicode limit, not a bug.
  • Small caps is the most readable small style at tiny sizes, which makes it the safest choice for nicknames.
  • A line of small text inside an otherwise normal bio draws the eye like a whisper — perfect for a tagline or a subtle flex.
  • Test pasted small text on the target app once; a few platforms strip the rarest characters.
Why do some letters not shrink in subscript style?

Unicode only defines subscript versions for a limited set of letters (a, e, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, r, s, t, u, v, x). Letters without a subscript form are left in their normal size so your text stays complete and readable.

Is small text the same as making the font smaller?

No. These are entirely different characters that merely look small, which is exactly why they can be pasted into apps like Instagram or TikTok that do not let you change font sizes.

Where can I use small text?

Bios, nicknames, captions, comments and chat messages are the classic uses. Readability drops quickly at length, so keep small text to names, headings and short lines.
